Here’s an interesting fact about me: I am the oldest of 17 grandchildren on my dad’s side of the family. Not too fantastic in itself, but here’s the funny part – my youngest cousin is 2. I am 27. My oldest child is older than 2 of my cousins. I have had cousins come up to me and call me “Aunt Leah” or ask, “Why are you not my aunt again?” It is strange but a lot of fun.
Nothing beats getting together with the whole family. Of my grandparents 6 children, 5 of them live nearby. So that means family get-togethers are always, shall we say, “eventful”. My grandparents decided to have everyone over before my brother left again for his next phase of training. It was a lot of fun to have everyone together, chatting and playing and just enjoying each other’s company. Grandpa & Grandma’s house is quite small, but they manage to fit us all in there. I am really glad that my children get to be part of this. Here are some pics of the evening… enjoy! (Sorry if you are not in the pictures… I didn’t get everyone.)
Leah,
Love the pictures of everyone. The one picture you labeled Kendra is Kaylie. It was a fun evening!
Love,
Mom
Whoops! Sorry Kaylie! I usually call Kendra Kaylie, so now its the other way. I have corrected it, so everyone is now labeled correctly. 🙂 Thanks Mom!
Leah,
It’s great to find you in the “blogsphere.” It has been a long time. I was looking at your pictures and saying those kids CANNOT be that big. WOW! Time sure does fly. Last time I saw you I think you were pregnant with your FIRST! Hope you are doing well.
