I love living in Wisconsin. It may not be the most exciting of the 50 states, but it has a beauty all its own. Every since I was a child I have enjoyed the changing seasons and taking full advantage of the festivities around them. Fall is spectacular here. And this has been a spectacular fall! The weather has been warmer; and in case you northerners haven’t noticed, almost every weekend has been rain free. So our family has been taking advantage of these near-perfect conditions.
Two weeks ago, we headed up to my hometown of Plymouth to do some hiking. I grew up hiking in the Kettle Moraine Forest on a pretty regular basis. Beaver Dam area has nothing that compares to the rolling hills and beauty of the “Kettles”. My folks guided us to the same trails we hiked when we were children… as you can see, we all had a great time!
THEN my brother-in-law and his new bride came to visit us. I was determined to do something quintessentially Fall-ish. So we went to Ebert’s Greenhouse for their fall festival. The weather was nice and warm, and the girls got pumpkins… Natalie named all of them. 🙂
